MRO Americas is the world’s largest annual exhibition and conference dedicated to aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO). It draws together professionals from across the industry to showcase innovations, share knowledge, and drive advancements in commercial aviation.
Concept &
Design
The exhibit was designed to showcase the client’s airplane engine as the centerpiece on the show floor, complemented by a highly visible hanging sign. The space included a welcoming reception area with locking storage and a monitor for brand messaging, a comfortable lounge area for informal meetings, and a private conference room that seated six people, offering a balance of functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Challenge
The goal was to create an exhibit that blended multiple functional areas with a visually appealing, cohesive design. This included integrating a hanging sign for visibility, a secure reception area with storage and a monitor, and a private conference room. Displaying a full airplane engine within the layout posed a logistical challenge, as did balancing space for a lounge, meeting room with frosted panels, and a bar area with a secure coffee station. It all had to fit while maintaining a polished aesthetic using wood laminate beams and silver carpet.
Solution
A standout 10-foot diameter hanging sign with printed exterior and white interior drew attention across the show floor. The reception area featured a wood-textured counter with locking storage and a 40” monitor for messaging. A storage room with a locking door, mini fridge, and shelving ensured efficient use of space. The airplane engine was prominently displayed, with the lounge area offering a sleek setup of a white table and chairs. The conference room provided privacy with frosted window panels, a locking door, a 40” monitor, and a black conference table. Wood laminate beams and silver carpet added style and comfort throughout the exhibit, including a bar area with a secure coffee station.
Results
The exhibit successfully combined striking visuals with functional design. The hanging sign, secure reception area, and prominently showcased airplane engine captured attention, while the lounge and private meeting spaces offered comfort and privacy. The bar and coffee station enhanced the professional vibe, all tied together by wood laminate beams and silver carpet for a polished finish. This setup elevated Global Engine Maintenance’s presence at the MRO show, driving engagement and interest.
